Chapter 034
"Yu, the school contacted me and said they want to talk to you as soon as possible. What should we do?"
"What? What have they decided?"
The next morning, at dinner, my father told me that the school had contacted me. I was bothered by the fact that they wanted to talk to me instead of telling me the decision.
"I got the impression that they were in a desperate situation and clinging to you. You have to go, but I'll leave it up to you to decide when."
"I'm curious about the details, so I'll go later. I want to get this over with quickly."
I'm going to explorer training school after graduating from middle school anyway, so I could choose to ignore school and go to the dungeon. As long as I learn history and geography on my own, which are different from my previous life, I'm sure I'll be fine academically.
However, I'm also concerned about whether I can get into explorer training school after ignoring compulsory education for a year and a half. It's my nature to eliminate any anxiety I can eliminate.
I changed into my uniform with [dress-up doll] and put an IC recorder in my pocket, and I was ready. Negotiations need to be recorded and kept as a record, otherwise it will become a pointless argument over what was said and what was not.
When I got to school, classes had already started and the hallway was deserted. I walked down the deserted hallway and stood in front of the principal's office. I turned on the recorder, recorded on my smartphone as well, knocked and entered.
"Oh, sorry to have called you. Please sit here."
When I entered the room, the principal, who was acting very humble, asked me to sit on the sofa in the reception set. He skillfully poured me green tea and even placed a basket of sweets in front of me, welcoming me.
"I know very well that it's not right to say this to you, but let me say this. Please, help us!"
I was bracing myself for what he would say, but the words he threw at me were way beyond my imagination. He had bowed his head on the table and left it there, so he must have been in a very cornered position.
I couldn't handle the unexpected start and ended up staring at the top of his head, which was losing density. I will refrain from mentioning what it was losing density, out of respect for the principal.
"Principal, please lift your head. I won't understand what's going on unless you explain it to me!"
"Oh, sorry. Actually..."
The school had initially planned to settle for just putting me in a support class. However, the PTA(Parent-Teacher Association) protested strongly.
Apparently, most of the PTA members who opposed my being in the support class were parents of female students, and the school side didn't understand why they were opposed to it when it would be considered normal to welcome it.
Even when asked the perfectly reasonable question of whether it was okay to leave a boy who could turn a girl alone, they insisted that it was wrong to discriminate based on concerns that may or may not happen.
Since the parents, who they expected would complain if things continued as they were, told them to leave it as it was, there was no point in the school putting me in a support class. However, since they expressed so many concerns and suspended me from school, they couldn't just do nothing.
The teachers put their heads together and tried to think of a solution but couldn't come up with anything, so they finally swallowed their pride and called me in to help them think of a solution.
Can I go home now? It's fine, isn't it?
